So just listen to the damn thing – if you really want to get something from it, I recommend you listen to it and stop doing everything else for ~1 hour.
The more you listen to it, the more you will pick up on it. It’s not always easy to listen to, but you can listen to Good Kid M.A.A.D. city if you want.
A year ago, I started writing a novel. Here are some approximations:
By that, I mean
I’ve thought about for 365 days,
Probably opened my file on it 300 times,
Written a word down 200 times.
Written down 35,000 words that I haven’t deleted yet
Met my word count goal 10-15 times
Self-loathed at least once 300 days
Thought I had a gift 4-5 times
Felt like I’d gotten better 2-3 times.
Seriously considered quitting 3 times
Figured out the plot 10 times
Cried about it 2 1/2 times
Probably ruined 10 meals
i’m gonna finish it though, and it will be the 1 thing I’ve ever been proud of finishing.
